Your Oestra® shipment includes applicators to give you another option for applying your medication. Using an applicator is not required. You may use the applicator or your finger - whichever feels easiest and most comfortable for you.
Always apply the number of pumps prescribed by your provider.
How to Fill the Applicator
You can fill the applicator in any of the following ways:
Pump directly into the applicator: Place the applicator opening over the center of the pump and dispense your prescribed amount into it.
Scoop the cream into the applicator: Use the applicator itself to gently collect the prescribed amount of cream.
Transfer the cream with your finger: Pump the prescribed amount onto your fingertip and gently push it into the applicator.
If you prefer not to get the cream on your hands, you may wear a finger cot or disposable glove while transferring it.

How to Apply Oestra® with the Applicator
Once the applicator is filled:
Get into a comfortable position.
Gently insert the applicator into the vagina only as far as feels comfortable.
Slowly press the plunger to release the cream.
Carefully remove the applicator.
There is no required insertion depth. Your comfort should guide you.
Prefer Not to Use an Applicator?
That is completely fine! Many women find that using a clean finger is the simplest and most comfortable way to apply Oestra®.
Pump your prescribed amount onto your fingertip. You may gently insert your finger and rub the cream along the vaginal wall, but internal insertion is not required. You may instead apply the entire prescribed amount to the absorbent external vaginal tissue, including:
The inner labial folds
The tissue around the vaginal opening
Apply Oestra® to the mucosal tissue - not the surrounding external skin. Avoid applying the cream directly to the pubic area, outer labia, clitoris, urethral opening, Bartholin’s glands, or anus.
What to Expect After Application
Allow approximately one hour for the medication to absorb. After absorption, you may notice some of the cream’s base naturally discharge. This is normal. You may gently wipe it away, and it does not mean that the hormones were not absorbed.
Whether you choose the included applicator or your finger, the best method is the one that allows you to apply your prescribed dose comfortably and consistently.
