Symptoms Returning at ~2 Months

If symptoms creep back around weeks 6-8, that’s common. Metabolism speeds up and SHBG may bind more hormones. Focus on making your current dose work better before increasing.

Updated over 4 months ago

Why it happens

  • As you heal, your body clears hormones more efficiently; the initial dose can feel weaker.

  • SHBG from the liver may bind hormones, reducing what’s free/available.

Why we avoid early increases

  • Raising dose before Month 4 can trigger cramping, heavy bleeding, breast tenderness, water retention, acne, or hair shedding.

What to do now

  1. Stay at your current dose a bit longer - many feel steadier by Month 3.

  2. Add key supports

    • Methylated B‑complex (daily): estrogen processing, mood, clarity.

    • Magnesium glycinate 200–400 mg at bedtime; optional Epsom baths 2–3×/week.

  3. Optimize diet & digestion

    • Protein ~100 g/day; keep fiber moderate.

    • Iodine 1500 mcg (3×/week) if breast tenderness/fatigue/water retention.

    • Selenium 200 mcg daily.

    • Consider ox bile / Digestzymes / HCL + pepsin if meals cause bloating.

When to schedule support

  • Worsening symptoms, uncertainty about dose, or new side effects (hair shedding, acne, severe fatigue, rage, depression).

Remember This is a temporary recalibration - balance is coming.
