Rash

Most rashes that appear after starting Oestra® or iodine are benign and short‑lived. We can usually settle them with simple steps and without stopping therapy long‑term.

If you’re not taking iodine

  • May be a histamine‑type skin response (localized or patchy).

  • Mild: Try cetirizine (Zyrtec) every 12 hours and message the clinical team.

  • Widespread/hives: Stop Oestra®, use Zyrtec or Benadryl twice daily, contact your GP, and schedule with our team.

  • Emergency signs (facial/tongue swelling, breathing difficulty, full‑body reaction): go to the ER.

If you are taking iodine

  • Iodine can mobilize halides (fluoride/bromide), sometimes showing up as a skin rash.

  • Pause iodine, let us know, and restart slowly under guidance.

Reassurance Most rashes resolve with pacing and simple supports - you’re not alone.
