Spotting or Bleeding After 50

Updated over 2 weeks ago

For women in menopause or beyond, light bleeding when starting Oestra® is also common and usually temporary.

It’s your uterus “waking up” after years of low hormone activity, and most often, it’s not a cause for concern. If bleeding is light or short-lived, you can continue using Oestra®.

If bleeding becomes heavier:

  • Pause Oestra® until the bleeding stops.

  • Restart once it resolves.

  • Consider adding methylated B vitamins, iodine, and magnesium for support.

If bleeding persists or worsens, this may point to an underlying factor like low thyroid or fibroids - both are common and treatable. Our clinical team can review your history and determine if testing or dose adjustment is needed.
